Of all the plays I've written, I receive more
emails about Pay Phone than any other. What begins as an absurd comedy
about the effect divorce has on teenagers slowly unravels into a
tragedy, and it has really struck a nerve with students and
parents alike. Here is a terrific production of the play by Unity
Composite High School in Saskatchewan. The young man playing James
really gets to the heart of the scene and the results are at once
hilarious and gut-wrenching.
