Outside the Box

"I'm going out of my mind!"
Scatter, Outside the Box

I'm so thrilled to share this brand new play with the world. Its message is near and dear to me and I hope it encourages people to open their hearts (and minds) to all the teenagers out there whose ideas are slightly left of center. Enjoy...

OUTSIDE THE BOX

Genre: Comedy/Drama
Cast: Entirely gender flexible cast of 12
Running Time: 30-35 minutes
Setting: A bare stage
(and a box)

Synopsis: Thinking outside the box is not always easy, especially when the world requires you to live on the inside. Exhausted from cramming into corners where they do not fit, six teenagers turn things inside out by inviting others to see things from a whole new perspective. On the outside, balloons change color, brooms become dance partners and kites fly without a string. Step outside and see for yourself!

This uniquely theatrical play features a gender flexible ensemble, easy to rehearse vignettes and creative staging opportunities for both new and experienced directors.
